The Joran Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) released new Instructions No. 2 of 2025 – Conditional Instructions on Approval Procedures for Importing Telecommunications and Communications Equipment. 

 The updated rules introduce several key changes: -Accredited Test Reports: Test reports must now come from laboratories recognized under ILAC-MRA accreditation. -Approval Validity: New authorizations obtained by local companies on behalf of others, as well as renewal approvals, are both valid for one year. For renewals, the one-year period starts from the issue date of the new certificate. -Expanded Exemption List: More products are now excluded from the approval requirement. The exempted items include scanners, projectors, data display devices, laptops, wireless accessories (mouse, keyboard, headset, charger), cables, empty enclosures, infrared remote controls, hard drives, storage devices, GPS navigators without high-power radio transmitters, and electronic components without radio modules.
