On July 5, 2019, SAMR Announcement #34 published the <Notification for Explosion-Proof Products with EX Production License Changing to Mandatory CCC Certification> along with product catalogues and implementation rules; effective Oct 1, 2019, explosion-proof products listed in the scope must comply with CCC certification requirements.
There is a one-year grace period for existing EX production licenses to be transferred to CCC explosion-proof certifications. The last day by which to comply is Oct 1, 2020.
Certification Process:
** IECEx test report may be accepted if Chinese deviations are included, upon review by and at the decision of the CB. In this case samples are not required for in-country testing.
