ENACOM issued Resolution No. 1268/2024, which approves the new Technical Standard ENACOM-Q2-60.21 V24.1 (attached in Spanish), which updates the regulations applicable to metric and decimetric wave transmitters, receivers and transceivers for fixed and mobile land services.

The equipment previously registered at ENACOM under the CNT-Q2-60.10 (like Walkie Talkies) and CNT-Q2-60.11 (VHF/UHF) standards, as well as those with digital modulations registered according to the procedures in accordance with the provisions of SC Resolution No. 784/87, will KEEP their registration numbers without the need to submit additional tests.

The update also includes the repeal of certain technical requirements that must be met by the stations of Portable Systems for Family Use, and adapts the measurement methodology for them.

The aforementioned resolution comes into force on March 24, 2025.
