MIC issued new standards QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT  on Specific Absorption Rates for hand-held and body-worn wireless communication devices according to Circular 19/2024/TT-BTTTT of  the MIC.

The Mobile Phones, DECT phone, Laptop, Tablet with equivalent isotropic radiated power greater than 20 mW and is to be used at a distance of less than 200 mm from a person will be applied with the following roadmap.

This standard does not apply to implantabel medical devices.

1. From July 1, 2026, land mobile phones must comply with QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT before being circulated on the market.

2. From July 1, 2027, products and goods subject to QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT must comply with QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT before being circulated on the market.

3. From February 15, 2025, QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT is applied in testing, conformity certification, and conformity declaration.

This standard is equivalent to IEC/IEEE 62209-1528: 2020.
