INDONESIA SDDPPI had announced  the implementation of Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) Head limitations for mobile telephone and tablet computer on 21^st March 2024.

To support this, SDPPI Issued Nomor 177 TAHUN 2024 on March 7 2024. This regulation regulates the following matters:

1.  Every application for a telecommunications equipment certificate for mobile telecommunications equipment and tablet computers must comply with the SAR limitation provisions as stated in Nomor 177 TAHUN 2024  , starting from 1^st April 2024 for head testing and 1^st August 2024 for torso  and limb testing .

2.  In the event that the Testing Center has not been able to attach the LHU SAR as intended in point 1, the applicant for a telecommunications equipment certificate can attach a certificate from the domestic testing center which includes information on the date of issuance of the LHU SAR;

3.  The LHU SAR must be submitted to the PPI Standardization Directorate no later than 14 (fourteen) calendar days from the date of issuance of the LHU SAR as stated in the statement letter as intended in point 2;

4.  The provisions referred to in point 2 are valid for a maximum of 2 (two) years from the date the obligation to fulfill the SAR limits begins to take effect.
