The Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital (KOMDIGI) has issued Circular B-63/DJID.3/SP.04.06/01/2026, providing critical clarification on the testing and certification framework for Radio Local Area Network (RLAN) equipment. DJID has confirmed changes to the authorized laboratories permitted to issue test reports for RLAN 6 GHz devices, following the expiration of specific transitional provisions under Ministerial Decree No. 12 of 2025.
Effective Date: 15 January 2026
Starting 15 January 2026, test reports for RLAN devices operating in the 5925–6425 MHz frequency band may only be issued by authorized laboratories as defined below.
Any certification application submitted after this date must comply with the updated testing requirements.
Authorized Testing Entities
To maintain compliance and ensure successful certification, manufacturers must source test reports from specific authorized entities:
Domestic Laboratories: A total of 12 authorized telecommunication testing centers within Indonesia have been identified to conduct these tests.
Foreign Laboratories: Facilities located in countries with a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with Indonesia may be utilized, provided they have a registered testing scope that explicitly covers RLAN technology in the 6 GHz band.
Scope of Devices Affected
This regulatory update applies to all Radio Local Area Network devices operating in the 6 GHz band, including but not limited to:
All such devices remain subject to mandatory DJID certification before being imported, distributed, or marketed in Indonesia.
