Burundi ARCT published the new Ministerial Order No. 580/01 dated Apr 17,2025 on the management of radioelectric equipment and terminals connectable to public networks, the new Order sets the conditions for the approval and use of radio and terminals equipment.
The key changes for the new rule：
l Applicants for type approval must now be entities authorized by the ARCT.
l The approved equipment must bear the ARCT label, though this latter requirement will not be enforced immediately.
To further protect consumers, the new regulations also emphasize measures aimed at combating counterfeit, low-quality, altered, and stolen equipment.
