Indonesia SDDPI  had issue the latest draft circular which titled  SERTIFIKASI ALAT TELEKOMUNIKASI DAN/ATAU PERANGKAT TELEKOMUNIKAS  ( English : Certification of Telecommunications Devices and Equipment)

This draft is to replacing PERMEN KOMINFO NO 16 TAHUN 2018  - Which is the main regulations on Operational Provisions of Telecommunications Devices Certifications.

The announcement is from early November as per below

 This regulations draft consist of  12 Clauses which is similar with PERMEN NO 16 TAHUN 2018 .

1. adjustment of technical standard terms for telecommunications equipment and/or telecommunications devices in accordance with the provisions of Government Regulation Number 46 of 2023 concerning Post, Telecommunications and Broadcasting;

2. provisions regarding the issuance of certificates for telecommunications equipment and/or telecommunications devices;

3. provisions regarding changes to certificates for telecommunications equipment and/or telecommunications devices;

4. labels and warning signs on telecommunications equipment and/or telecommunications devices;

5. submission of data and information via the official website of the Directorate General of SDPPI and the Indonesia National Single Window (INSW) system;

6. telecommunications equipment and/or telecommunication devices certification fees;

7. prohibited telecommunications equipment and/or telecommunications equipment;

8. supervision and control;

9. administrative sanctions;

10. other provisions;

11. closing provisions; And

12. Attachment to the label format and warning signs for telecommunications equipment and/or telecommunications equipment.

Summary

• From the first glances of comparison the main thing on the new draft will be the implementation of the new QR Code on the labelling

• The new draft also removed the previous HS code & Product list that will be control.

• The public consultation had completed and most likely this draft will be final
